Wiland Direct Finds Incremental Names for Potpourri Group

Founded in 1963 with one title, the Massachusetts-based Potpourri Group currently owns and operates a dozen different catalogs. The group is known for a variety of catalog titles that carry a large selection of items, including gifts, apparel, home décor, and jewelry.

Attracted to Wiland Direct's innovative models and net name arrangement, the Potpourri Group joined the co-op in 2005. Potpourri tested several of the Wiland Direct pre-validated response models with the goal of finding incremental prospect names. Through several tests with multiple catalogs, Potpourri Group found success.

"I'm really encouraged by the early results," explained Bob Webb, Senior Vice President of Marketing. "Wiland Direct is clearly providing us with productive incremental names. The nets were good, and the performance was exceptional for the first tests."

Several Potpourri catalog tests for which results are complete showed an average performance that was 30% better than other outside lists - and in one case double the average performance of outside lists.

Potpourri Group continues to model and test with Wiland Direct for all of their active titles.

"We hope to find even more incremental names and better performance as their database grows," Webb added.
