Phil Wiland has been an innovator in the Direct Marketing industry for over 30 years. He founded and built Wiland Services. This legendary technology company built the first artificial intelligence merge/purge system and developed the first carrier route presort system (before the post office had one), literally enabling the presort discounts our industry enjoys today. He also founded and built multiple successful catalogs. Having spent his entire career in direct marketing-22 years in direct marketing technology services and 11 years founding and building catalogs-he has a very high level of interest in the health of the catalog industry.
Brent Eskew, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Brent has worked in the direct marketing industry for the past ten years. He began with Wiland Direct upon its founding and has been involved in establishing the Company's relationship with most of its Members. Prior to joining Wiland Direct, Brent served as the founder and president of FindYourSpot.com, the Internet's leading relocation recommendation service, which today registers more than one million members annually. Brent is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law and an accomplished attorney and litigator. After earning his law degree, Brent served as a Deputy District Attorney and prosecuted over 300 criminal trials.
Michael Gaffney, Chief Financial Officer
As CFO, Michael directly manages the controller, treasury, tax, audit, and risk management functions. Michael has more than 10 years of financial leadership experience in various Controller positions across multiple industries. Most recently he served as Corporate Controller for Carrier Access Corporation, a publicly traded, Telecom Company with over $170 million in assets. With extensive experience in budgeting and expense control in both rapidly growing and declining environments, he leads the company's commitment to matching financial success with its continued growth. Michael received a bachelors of science in Accounting from Houghton College and holds an M.B.A from Clarkson University.
Doug Kaczmarek, Vice President, Analytics

Doug's direct marketing experience over the last 15 years includes time on both the client and service sides of the industry. After earning a Masters of Arts in Applied Statistics from the University of Michigan, he began his career developing models and circulation strategies for Sears' Catalog and Direct Response units. He was then Director of Analytical Services for Experian, where his team created hosted and cooperative database analytical solutions. Most recently Doug was the Director of Database Marketing for America Online, where he developed an internal staff to provide analytical marketing solutions for AOL's connectivity and premium services business.
Sandy Mickelson, Vice President, Member Services

Sandy has more than 20 years of direct marketing experience working in both the catalog and publishing industries. She started in direct marketing at Fingerhut and most recently assisted Phil Wiland by running Colorful Images before it was sold in 2004. She has also been on the technology side of the business working at Wiland Services, Carlson Marketing Group and several other service organizations. This is the third Wiland organization that Sandy has been a part of. She is committed to the Wiland Philosophy of "what's good for the Member is good for us."
Phil Tobias, Chief Technology Officer
As CTO, Phil leads the engineering teams responsible for the development and maintenance of the high performance data warehouse systems required to support the cooperative database market. Phil has over 30 years of technology and software development experience in the Direct Marketing industry. Prior to joining Wiland Direct, Phil served as the CIO of Concepts Direct, a multi-title catalog company. In this position, Phil led the development of a multi-brand catalog fulfillment system with fully integrated e-commerce capabilities. Phil also worked for many years at Wiland Services, where he was a primary architect of many of the successful systems pioneered by Wiland Services. He has designed and developed a wide range of technology solutions in the Direct Marketing space, including address correction, Merge/Purge, presort, National Change of Address (NCOA), list order fulfillment, and data warehouse systems.
Dan Wells, Executive Vice President, Member Services

Dan has more than 20 years of list/data, merge/purge, and database marketing experience with some of the country's top marketing organizations. His numerous leadership positions within the industry have made him an expert on delivering proven results and performance-enhancing solutions for multi-channel marketers. Most recently, Dan has worked at Merkle, where he helped grow the organization from a $50-million company to a $150-million company in five years. While at Merkle, he also launched and helped grow the multi-channel marketing division. Prior to Merkle, Dan was part of the client services and business development teams that formed KnowledgeBase Marketing. Dan started his career in 1984 with Wiland Services in the Fredericksburg, Va., division, working in the customer services area.
